Menlo Park Library

Nice baby area with a smalll wall of activities and kid friendly tables and decorations. Also a handy stroller parking area during story time so that things are organized and not cramped!

I'm still reeling from what happened yesterday. There is a cart of free books that the Library employees place outside on certain days for the people to come and...take the books. So it's not even 1:30 and yours truly and this classy elderly lady are going through what little is left. And this employee comes over and she says that she needs to take the cart inside. Like RIGHT NOW! RIGHT THIS MINUTE! She won't even let us finish browsing. Well, at least she didn't ask for a 25% tip for her " outstanding " customer service. My fellow beloved Californians- I kinda left the Soviet Union for a reason.

The worst library in the Bay Area. A middle-aged(~middle of 60's) blond staff called me "horrible." Is she the famous "Mrs. Karen"? Karen will gets her karma. 🙏 She didn't even try to "talk" with me. her selfish manner and rude words are ruining the image of the Menlo Park Library and the city. Thanks for giving me the first racism experience. If this library management would like more details, please email me and I'll explain in detail.

I have been coming here to find a quiet place to study. Unfortunately this is not always the case. Between loud gatherings and angry phone conversations, I might be better off in a coffee shop. It could just be my age showing here, but I was under the impression that a library was to be a quiet place.

Nice, clean, very quiet library. Free and easy parking, also next to CalTrain, so probably easily accessible by public transportation. Helpful librarians, nice temperature in building. Good place to escape from a hot day.
