We went here to have take out dinner with a relaxing view of the sunset. I had the warm lobster roll which did not hold together well, but was quite tasty.

Travellers, the menemsha fish market is a wonderful fish store where you can get the freshest fish in an addition to prepared foods, like quarts of clam chowder and stuffed clams and scallops. We order on the phone and then pick up the order which for us includes raw clams and oysters they are fresh shucked. Ask about Stanley Larsen, the proprietor. He is featured in a seafood cookbook. The food is delicious and very fresh. The fresh fish is magnificent. The prices are high but the quality of the fish is exceptional. The store is open late and all year round. If you’re going to get fresh fish here is a wonderful place and the fish is straight from the ocean. Check it out. We recommend.

Everything looked so perfect. Old fishing village vibes, dunes, fishing boats, lobster traps, and several fish markets along the piers. I was imagining $7/lb Atlantic cod, $5/lb lobster and $20 lobster roll stuffed with huge portions of lobster meats. Well, let me admit I was wrong. Even though I couldn’t complain anything about the taste (it was quite delicious) I was shocked by how small was that $29 lobster roll was. Contracting to many previous reviews here, this place is perhaps a tourist trap. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is and the owner is entitled to maximize his/her profit of course. Perhaps, the line cook was having a bad day and someone - that would be me - walked in 10 minutes before closing and unappreciatively prepared the lobster roll. It was quite tasty so I can’t advis
