My fiancee and I travel all over small towns looking for little diners to tryout. Let me tell you this place didn’t disappoint at all. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by what we later learned was the owner. The place was very clean and inviting. We tried what on the menu is called the Messy Mel. Aka the garbage plate. 20 years ago I worked for empire hots in Rochester the birthplace of the garbage plate and I have never had one come close to the taste well the Messy Mel put it to shame. And the serving size boy oh boy I’m not a small guy and can put away some food and I couldn’t even finish. I hope they never change an ingredient. We will be back for sure.

Cute little place in nuda small inside but nice clean seating saw a spot by the window I could see a group of friends enjoying a nice meal. Me and my boyfriend are from ROC and we're looking for a quick easy meal while camping in the area. The service is quick and friendly the pizza is your classic small town pizza delicious nostalgic the flavor not the quality bc it was much better ingredients reminded me of chuck-ee cheese pizza in the absolute best way possible! Asked for the pie well done ex cheese cup and char pep it was crispy not doughy which is often a problem in ROC with most places being very busy and rushing pies extra cheese was there and lots of cup and char. I've had alot of pizza over my lifetime and Mel's is one of my favorite. I asked for mozzarella sticks on a cheese and pepperoni pizza and they made it no problem for me. They should definitely add that to their menu. Also make sure you bring cash because they don't accept card.

Decent food for a good price. Ordered a veggie pizza and the fish fry. Pizza was ok. Fish was huge and a large meal including a salad, two sides, and a roll. Note: cash only

From the hearty greeting and boisterous conversation, Mel is a treat. We both had the special, beef on weck. Delicious. The beef was savory and the fresh baked rolled was soft and flavorful. Combined with the homemade Mac and cheese and applesauce, the meal was perfect.
