Mellow Mushroom Johnson City

My in-laws visited for the weekend a couple of weeks ago, and we dined in Friday evening. I ordered the Holy Shitake (which was phenomenal) and everyone else shared a House Special. The crust of the House Special was a little underdone, and our server was super patient and was quick to find the manager, Jimmy. Jimmy took great care of us, and offered another pizza on the house next time we came in. My fiancé and I went back for pizza last week and got the Great White. The pizza was delicious and I am just super appreciate of the incredible service and staff!

Best Pizza parlor in town. Awesome staff... friendly and attentive. Food is excellent. I love their Caesar salad, complete with anchovies. And the calzones are great as well. Pricey, but you can't eat it all, so it's a good value. And the forks! Really, Substantial, Honest to Goodness Forks! Sounds trivial, but it's greatly appreciated.

We were excited to try this place due to the curb appeal and unique branding. The overall feel of the restaurant was "Mellow" and easy going. All the staff are happy and visible including the kitchen. The open kitchen concept shows honesty and confidence in the business. The overall artistic layout provided a cool relaxed atmosphere to indulge. See my pic of the receipt for everything we ordered but I'll jump to comments on our choices: Reg size salad $8.49 was a little small to share. Large size could be shared 2-3 people. Ingredients used and the ranch/Blue dressings were quality. RB Margaritas were very small for $13+. The food is always fantastic. However, one night taking my family out, the hostess asked for my phone number to notify me when a table was ready. 30 min. later I walked back inside from my car, where my family and I waited, to notice 3 tables open, and I asked the hostess why I wasn't notified, she said she had stepped out to the waiting area and called my name but no one answered, so I asked then what was the point in me giving you my number? She didn't seem to have much of an answer, but, you, the reader of this comment should get the jest. Needless to say I was a bit annoyed for the rest of the night.

This was our first time at Mellow Mushroom in Johnson City. It’s a little pricey, but the pizza was great! We were not disappointed; they didn’t skimp on toppings. Definitely want to go back👍🏼
