Melby's Coffee & Tea House

I love Melby's! Whenever I'm in the area, I always go here. The workers are so friendly and helpful. Everything is always so clean and tidy!! Plus, lots of plants so even when crowded you can breathe with ease. A must try for people who love coffee. Plus, their tea related refreshers are amazing too!!!

I got the Matcha Latte, unfortunately I dropped some Matcha on the table, baka! But no worries I was able to save the flavor and still drank the delicious Matcha. It was not too rich not too sweet but just the right flavor, honestly one of the best Matcha Latte I’ve had. The inside atmosphere is very relaxing and the baristas are very nice. Will definitely be coming back.

Strawberry Matcha was ok. What I do not get is an up-charge of a $ to not put ice in the drink!! Reason given…..we have to put more milk. Even Starbucks does not do that. You are a coffee house, stop nickel and diming your customers. So you were already going to fill the cup to the brim with ice, and basically NOT giving the customer what the customer was paying for, then you make him/her pay to actually get what he/she paid for! I do not like ice in my drink, always ask it not to be put in. Now I have to pay a penalty for it?! For drinks that are already expensive, this ridiculous trend with some of the coffee houses is not a customer-side good practice.

Randomly stopped and was pleasantly surprised. The place is cute, clean, and smelled amazing. The ladies helping were polite and helpful. I order a Tiramisu iced latte and it was pretty decent. The real bonus, if you are staying a bit ans have a baby, is the bathroom was cleaned, stocked, smelled great, and they even provide diaper bags to properly dispose of dirty diapers.

I love Melby’s! They always have the most unique drinks and recipes. I genuinely enjoy their authenticity to make their own syrups and offer different rotations of seasonal drinks. This one is their OG- Oakland Latte with Ube Cream. I really enjoyed their Banana Cream Latte over the summer. I don’t come frequently because of the 25 minute drive, but when I’m in the area, it’s always a treat.
