I recommend this restaurant. I have come several times with the family for breakfast or lunch. They have always had very friendly and helpful treatment. The food is prepared with great quality. The atmosphere of the place is good. I think that if you are close to the restaurant you should come, you will be well received and you will feel at ease. Thanks for your service. Blessings.

I recently visited this restaurant and was quite disappointed. I ordered the grilled chicken with a small salad and bottled water. For $17.85, I feel I was overcharged. The chicken was filleted, not on the bone as I anticipated, and it was cut into tiny, lean slices with no flavor whatsoever. The portions were minimal, and the meal was extremely overpriced for what it was. As many other reviewers have mentioned, the prices charged seemed inconsistent with the menu, and it felt like they might charge different prices depending on who you are. Given the abundance of better BBQ grill options in Newark with more reasonable prices and better portion sizes, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I was always a regular customer. Always great food. Moved away for 4 years and now returned to eat , found the majority of the female servers that were always there , were no longer there. New staff , different attitude. Food wasn't as good, now their Cuban sandwich is always good. You can't mess that up.

Stopped in here after spending some time looking at the blooming cherry trees in Branch Brook park. Realized it was more of a diner than a restaurant when walking in the front door. Only option for seating was stools and booths. Place was clean enough so that was fine. We had cubanos, a side salad and some fried plantains which were all tasty, but not special. Really inexpensive though. Lots of food for 2 and only $21. Enjoy!

Lately the rice tastes bad, it tastes like humidity especially the Arroz con Gandules. New cook or what?
