My parents were tax return clients of Bob Letterman for many years. As they aged, I began assisting them with the annual organization of relevant tax return documents that Bob would need. My familiarity with Bob’s tax document checklists and his tax preparation process made my efforts pretty straightforward on my out-of-state visits to KC. My father passed about 20 years ago and I got more involved working with Bob on my mother’s tax returns. I always appreciated his strong customer service values coupled with reasonable fees. As the personal representative for an estate, I was tasked with filing multiple back tax returns for a deceased individual as well as an estate tax return, and Bonnie went above and beyond to assist me with all the intricate details involved. Her professionalism, knowledge, and responsiveness were exceptional. Even when I was delayed in providing necessary information, Bonnie managed to complete the returns well before the tax deadlines. I have been with Meinershagen & Co since the transition from Letterman & Co. Of course, when business change the new business has different methods and processes. I have nothing but appreciation and respect for Lorne, Bonnie, Christy and Sandy. They were all available when I need their assistance or guidance. I appreciate Lorne’s and Bonnie’s willingness to answer my, in some cases, ridiculous questions. In addition, Bonnie has always done whatever is necessary to meet my expectations and deadlines for tax filings. Even though I only use a limited amount of the services they provide I highly recommend them for their tax preparation and planning services.

My aunt directed my to Meinershagen & Co several years ago as they have been her trusted tax company for a long time. I was assigned to Bonnie who is always patient with me. Finance, specifically, tax knowledge is definitely NOT my forte so I rely heavily on her expertise. Bonnie responds to my calls and emails quite promptly and has helped me navigate a very difficult situation involving the sale and buying of a home, an investment company and the IRS. It was such a horrendous ordeal yet Bonnie would always have encouraging comments even though she could not change the situation. She gave detailed explanations as many times as I needed to fully understand the situation(s). I am not sure how long Bonnie has been with Meinershagen but (to the owner) I certainly hope they keep her with Meine

I echo Diana Solano's review below. Believe me, the service hasn't gotten any better over the past three years since she wrote her review. Meinershagen & Co is not the same company it was when Bob Letterman owned the business. I'm in disbelief over the way I was recently treated, and the lack of customer service I received when I reached out to them for help on a letter I received from the state of Kansas regarding my 2023 income tax return. Not only did Bonnie give me bad advice to cash a refund check that I received in error, but when I emailed her to let her know how extremely disappointed I was with her customer service, she responded back to me with comments such as "if you do not appreciate what we have done to accommodate your filings for tax year 2023, I wish you good luck in findi
