Meg's Bread

I’m sure Meg’s Bread is knead-to-know good (pun intended), but I didn’t come here for the bread. I came for the coffee so I could meet up with a friend and hang out for a bit. I ordered a "cortadito." What's a cortadito? Basically espresso heaven in a tiny cup-fresh, strong, and balanced. I joked that they must be growing their own coffee in the back because it took a while, but honestly it was worth the wait. While I waited, I walked around and was surprised by how much they carry in store. You’ll find everything from specialty cheeses to elk ground beef and even ostrich meat. Items you just do not see anywhere else in Cookeville. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the prices. Because of the exorbitant pricing, it’s not a place I’ll shop often, but it is a fun store to wander, buy

the food was great and the coffee was even better! I got an iced vanilla latte and a sourdough white, turkey, swiss, & garlic mayo sandwich. my mother got the club without sprouts. we sat and ate half our sandwiches outside and even made a little friend ❤️ the guy at the register who was taking everyone's orders was super super nice and i appreciate him so much for making my first time here feel welcoming. the place is nice but can be crowded during lunch! love this place, id like to come back again 😊 our total was $21 + tip💕 fair warning tho, the kitchen makes it loud in there but otherwise i had an amazing experience

Oh my Goodness!!! A MUST if you are anywhere near here! Amazing!!! We were theilled with each and every item we got . Our only complaint.... we didnt buy enough!! They are closed on Sundays so load up if you buy Saturday

Megs is absolutely amazing. Their olive oil cakes are simply to die for & they make this croissant with cheddar and jalapeños. Yum. We havent had a bad bakery item. Great coffee too. Their market has really fresh produce. The salads they offer with veggies (delacata squash) delish. Go. You won't regret it

If you want the very best sour dough bread they have it. I used to have to wait and get sour dough bread in San Francisco but in middle Tennessee I don't have to wait. I come from 50 miles from the north to get some bread. If you like brownies theirs are awesome. They take pride in all they bake. High quality bread you won't find anywhere else. Stop in early or you won't got any ! Their breads sell out quickly. If your coming from a good ways away look on their web site and email Meg she will put your order aside. They have a little Cafe & little grocery store. They are a small business so I like to go to small business and support them versus big box stores. Best bakery in Tennessee.
