Our waitperson, Jess, was great. She made a really good recommendation as to appetisers (the wings), and paid us enough attention that our needs were met, but not so much that we were overstimulated. The rest of the team were pretty great, too; and the food was good. The one thing I would caution people is that the curry laksa is delicious, but it lacks the funk of fermented shrimp entrails that the laksa back in Old Country has. I will say that it probably will be just as good vegan as it was with the chicken. I would come back here again.
Mecha Noodle Bar is a great new addition to the Fishtown area. From start to finish, the service was excellent- the staff was attentive, constantly checking in, and keeping water refills coming. The space itself is clean, bright, and welcoming, with a lively bar area that added to the overall atmosphere. The food came out incredibly fast and everything we ordered was delicious. We tried a few appetizers, including the spicy tuna roll and red oil dumplings, and also had ramen, all of which were solid. The drinks were good as well, and the happy hour is definitely worth checking out. Overall, a great experience and a spot I’d happily come back to and recommend.
We started with the Crispy Soft Shell Crab bao and the Spicy Salmon hand roll—both super fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. For mains, The Pho King had a rich, deep broth that warmed my soul, while the Spicy Miso 2.0 ramen delivered just the right kick. We ended on a sweet note with the Ube Banana Pudding, which was absolutely perfect. Shoutout to Maggie, our amazing server, for being so welcoming and giving us the best recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!
The restaurant we were going to go to didn't have any tables without reservations so we decided to go to Mecha Noodle Bar on the corner. My daughter said it just recently opened and I was more than happy to try something different. Everything was excellent, the drinks, my daughter had a non alcoholic matcha drink and I had a Vietnamese iced coffee. Excellent. We had some of everything, as you can see in the pictures. My favorite was the KFC bao bun. Service was great, I really enjoyed so many new and different flavors and things.
Our server Maggie was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a blast and ended up ordering one of every item off of the menu. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was a 10/10. I was so full I could barely walk afterwards.
