As an Argentinian, I know meat because it’s part of who we are. And honestly, Meat Moot in Paterson, NJ truly impressed me. The quality of the meat, the flavor, the texture… everything was on point. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of bold, rich flavor. This is the kind of place that takes meat seriously, and you can taste it in every bite. What made the experience even better was the service. Lilly was phenomenal, warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. She made us feel welcome and elevated the whole experience from start to finish. If you’re someone who truly loves good meat and appreciates quality, this place delivers. I’ll definitely be back since this spot is a gem.

Meat Moot in Paterson is such a unique spot! They’re in over 14 countries worldwide, so it’s awesome to have one right here in NJ. The menu is simple, $45 per pound for any of their smoked meats, and it includes unlimited sauces, sides, and drinks. We tried the lamb shank, lamb ribs, beef ribs, and brisket, and everything was incredibly tender, smoky, and flavorful. The portions are generous, and the variety of sauces really adds to the experience. The fire show is a fun touch and definitely makes it memorable.

Experience was not great. When we first arrived, there was only 1 other table there. It was our first time here, the server seated us right away, did not even verify our reservation, and we later had to add one more table to our because we did not have enough seats. She did not explain how the menu or restaurant works, there was just a paper "menu" on the table with a QR codes to maps and instagram, no prices or description of the menu. There are only 6 Meat options all Beef and Lamb. They did not have the Tomahawk or Lamb neck. Our steaks were made by the server and not the chef who was prepping the brisket and ribs. My experience was not that good today. Their Instagram makes it seem like the ambience of this place is top tier but, I didn’t experience that at all. To start off, we were not greeted upon arrival and had to wave someone over to seat us. Then, the menu was confusing and not explained too well by the server. I did not like the fact we had to walk up to the front to tell our order and not directly to the sever. The sides were okay, I really liked both salads but the mashed potatoes were a little bland but good texture. We ordered the lamb shoulder and beef ribs, ended up sharing the lamb because they sold out of beef. I wanted a lemonade, They were sold out. Meat Moot in Paterson, NJ offers a warm, inviting atmosphere and the menu looked exciting…..especially the Lamb Neck we ordered. Unfortunately, when it finally arrived, the dish was disappointingly cold, which dulled the flavors and left us underwhelmed. Service was polite but slow, and the overall experience didn’t live up to expectations. Not planning to return anytime soon, but hope they improve food temperature consistency and service.
