Maynard Public Library

They were very unwelcoming when we very first went to the library. The children would pick up a toy and the younger librarian would fuss at them to put the toy back. Then, the other day during story time a woman came in with all of her children there was a lot of them and she kept getting picked on by the librarian reading the story. She eventually left which I would have done too. Before that she came in and was feeding her baby and the librarian had the children run at her and her small child and trampled the pair and she struggled to move her bags out of the way and was warning the children not to step on her bags because they could trip. I was worried about her child getting trampled and then the children flying out the window after I saw them tripping on the bags. There should b

I called before the due date for my books to be renewed. They called over a week back and said I called the day after the books were due which was NOT true. Then she said I could not renew books that were on a wait list I said I called before. Anyhow, the very first thing she said was I was not being charged BUT I had to bring the books back now. I am a person. You can renew your books which is what I did and not have to immediately return them because someone else wants them. I did the right thing and she lied. Her system could not change her clerical error so I was in the wrong? Why? Also, she yelled at me and said I should have called another department though my books came from her department. Guess what? You talk to that department and they say to call the other department.

This is a local staple. They have a great selection of books, CDs, DVDs, etc. The staff here were very friendly and professional. Parking is convenient with a large lot right outside. I'm sure my buddy will be back soon.

The least friendly library I’ve ever been to. Librarians were not helpful and made me feel like I was bothering them
