Maydan is a truly special Lebanese dining experience and absolutely lives up to its Michelin-star reputation. From the moment you arrive, it feels like you’ve discovered a hidden gem. Tucked away in a small alley, the entrance feels almost like a speakeasy, a dark green wooden door that opens into what feels like a completely different world. Inside, the ambiance is incredibly cozy and intimate. The dim lighting, candles, and warm tones create a calm, romantic atmosphere. Honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve tried in a while. Went on a Thursday & had late reservations, we were sat probably 20 minutes after our reservation which was the only hiccup. Our server was amazing, very attentive, knew the menu. The atmosphere was was intimate and felt like an immersion into the culture of the food, every single thing we ordered was so tasty, nothing was dry or overcooked or overseasoned. Every single bite was delicious. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Came here for Valentine’s Day with my bf and we were both really impressed. The service is amazing; our waitress was very kind and knowledgeable!! We were seated in our own little corner with a view of the restaurant below which was so nice. The food was all delicious, and the best part for us was that the tasting menu was a LOT of food!! We were both sufficiently stuffed. I’m also not sure if this was a normal feature of their Tawl menu; but the welcome cocktail was a welcome surprise. Would highly recommend this place.

Amazing. Incredible. Worth every penny. We did the tasting menu. Loved the fresh bread and dips - especially the Muhammara! Subbed out scallops for the kebab. Delicious. The ribeye was also to die for. And the chocolate mousse was the perfect cherry on top. Our server Luke (or Lukas?) was wonderful! Very friendly and attentive. We sat right by the open fire in the main dining room and the vibes were so cozy. One of the best meals in DC!

The Tawle experience is the way to go! You truly feast on fresh, flavorful, and healthy dishes — every bite feels like a gastronomical adventure.
