Maya Mexican Grill

First time trying it. Black beans are hard, rice is hard, chicken is soft and wet? Like it was boiled, not grilled. Jalapeno stem left in there. No flavor to anything. Way too much cilantro. Paid extra for hot salsa, nothing in here has even a little bit of spice. Honestly inedible. I threw it away. Disappointing. No idea how they have good reviews.

Best bowls, tacos, service ever!! Everyone is so nice warm and welcoming when you walk in. I think the guy might be the owner, he is so cool. He packs the bowls up. One time I came in and I told the young lady there that I love onions. She packed me a little side container with extra onions. It's also halal. Perfect for my in-laws. And the jerk chicken is def a must try.

Stopped by here for lunch on a Sunday and ordered a steak bowl with Mexican rice, fajita veggies, black beans, corn, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, and chipotle sauce. They are soooo generous with their portions!! The bowl was delicious and definitely more than enough to share. I thought the steak was going to be dry but it was tender and flavorful! From proteins to toppings, there were so many options. All the toppings looked fresh. I also tried out their limeade and tres leches cake slice. I’m such a huge fan of tres leches - this one was good. The service was quick and the staff here were really nice. It’s a pretty spacious space for you to dine in as well. I need to stop by again to try their tacos and jerk chicken bowl.

Kaur & Sunita were very kind in greeting me & my friend. They both were patient and gentle in preparing our meals. My veggie quesadilla was delicious and made exactly as I asked. Veggie Quesdilla: sprinkled with light cheese, bell peppers, lettuce, cilantro, tomatoes, red cabbage, spinach, & tofu. I'll be back from New Jersey.

So far my new fav place, everything is fresh and flavored. My first visit I got loaded fries with chicken and the works my boyfriend ordered Birra Tacos, Amazing! I just returned for the second time & again everything is so good. It’s definitely traveling from the Bronx. I will be returning.
