MAYA Fine Food and Tequilas

The food was good, it just was below my expectations. The tacos had great flavor, but there wasn't any onions or cilantro inside the tacos and it didn't come with lime wedges. The dipping broth was kinda watery and less flavorful than what im used to... but I'm also a bit of a birra taco snob. It also came with chips, salsa and beans. I don't really have much to say, it wasn't bad but not impressive either. Chocolate cake was good, besides being a bit dry. It was a very generous slice which was nice. I only did a pick up order but the staff was lovely and the restaurant looked gorgeous. I will probably go again next time im in the area and try some of their other food options on the menu.

Love coming here for dinner. From the Chips and Salsa to the cocktails-it can’t get any better. Tonight we had our favorites-the Enchiladas- Mole and the Verdej. Simply delicious! The service is fabulous too.

We have been vacationing near Ocean Isle for over 20 years. Finally, what we considered a challenge to find a good restaurant, the search is over. We loved everything about this place. Our meal from cocktails, appetizer, main courses to desert was well thought out and so above what one usually finds in the area.

Great Mexican Restaurant. Very seafood forward. I enjoyed 1 spinach 1 cheese enchilada and the cilantro rice with blackheads and my husband enjoyed the tacos. The mango guacamole was freshly made and delicious. The Margs are large and taste good but very light on the Tequila hadvto ask for a shot to add to.

It was Saturday night at 5 and only two servers and no bartender. Sat at the bar and took over 20 mins for someone to even greet me. I ordered a drink and 20 mins later it was made but the server mixed it then put ice over it. Worst drink ever. She never cam back and was sweeping the floor and cleaning tables. Where was the owner during all this mess. Really wanted to try the food but server never came back so I left. sorry but you need to do a lot better. I can't really blame the staff but it is the owner responsibility to make sure restaurant is staffed. How do you not have a bartender on a Saturday night?
