Well, well. Who knew you could get bomb (kids still say "bomb", right?) Senegalese food one PATH ride away? It's probably faster to come here than Harlem. The Nem were the perfect crunchy, savory start. My Thiéboudienne (the national dish) was hearty and loaded with flavor--even more impressive, the spice-filled marinade had seeped into every part of the whole fish, something that I don't always find in other Senegalese restaurants. The Thiébou C'est Bon (grilled tilapia with seafood rice) was equally mouth-smacking, loaded with a tasty onion sauce that had us grinning. And for the meat lovers, the chewy Lamb Dibi should satisfy. Portions were huge enough to satisfy any hungry big mama. This place is an authentic home style cooking restaurant. The food was delectable and flavored impeccably. I had the lamb with Jolloff rice and spring roll appetizer. Mohammed was the consummate host and gave us suggestions on what to order and pairings. The ginger and hibiscus juices are great too.

It was my first time trying this place since moving to Jersey City and I’m glad I did. The food tasted great and the portion size was very generous. I got the Lamb Dibi with Athieke this time and I’m excited to try something new next time.

Their food is delicious and customer service is amazing! I placed a large order for 10+ people and the quality, quantity, and packaging was perfect. They were very accomodating and friendly, and I, alongside my guests, were very happy. I will definitely be ordering again and again from them!
