Maverick's Donuts, Windsor

What a fabulous new spot! I am a huge doughnut girl and these did not disappoint. They’re light and fluffy. I’m not one for a ton of sweetness with the creams, fillings and sprinkles but the filled doughnuts were stunning particularly the tiramisu! What an absolute delight. We also adored the cherry chip, the lemon ricotta, crème brûlée and the strawberry shortcake! These doughnuts are not heavy so do yourself a favour and grab a dozen to share - or keep mostly to yourselves like my husband and I did! It’s a must stop shop and feels lighter than other competitors nearby! We can’t wait to go back and try their other doughnuts :)

I had a great experience at this particular donut store. Although on the more costly side, you really do get a bank for your buck. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT....

Very friendly and welcoming place! The donuts are fantastic. There are cakey donuts, and the classic yeast donuts, both kinds are delicious! They are incredibly fresh. My toddler loves the mini donuts too. Last time I went in they didn't have any cinnamon sugar, so they made a couple for me on the spot. Customer service is great, the employees are so nice and friendly, so I'm shocked by some of these reviews. Have been a couple times already, will definitely be returning!

They were okay? . Now I will mention that me and my mom did go in near closing so that might have been the problem but I fell like you should have the expectation to keep good quality regardless of the time of day, especially because their slogan is “timeless” and “delicious “ emphasis on the quotes. . Now we got the strawberry shortcake, cheesecake, lemon ricotta, apple fritter and coffee. First, the donuts are more like cake than donuts, they lacked the fluffy part that you desire out of a donut (maybe it’s because they sat out to long but that’s a whole different issue). They tasted like Tim Hortons Tim bits with a hint of crayon (probably the food colouring). I will say they do look pretty tho. Weird that they offer a half dozen donuts but don’t have a box for a half dozen. Presentation looks pretty good on the donuts In the display cabinet. The person working behind the counter tried to pawn off several donuts that had the glaze/toppings falling off. I found the donuts extremely thick and heavy…almost cake like. I have had better and I’ve had worse. Over $20 for 6 donuts is nuts.
