Matsuyama sushi & ramen

Came here because I wanted to take advantage of the bento box lunch deal but left disappointed, not satisfied, and still hungry. I thought the portion would be better but the whole meal was nothing to rave about. I got the pork tonkatsu bento. Also looking at other pictures from reviews it seems like other people had gyoza with their bento box and also 8 pieces of California roll but as you can see from my picture mine didnt have the gyoza and had less rolls.

This is a truly authentic Japanese experience. It instantly brought me back to the ramen I had in Japan—comforting, rich, and perfectly balanced. Honestly, this is the best ramen I’ve had anywhere in the U.S., even compared to the fancy spots in NYC. It’s amazing to have something this special right here in New Jersey. With humility and simplicity, they’ve created something truly unforgettable. Thank you.

I stopped by for a late lunch take out and I was pleasantly surprised. First, the interior while not large is cozy and very inviting, complete with nice Japanese wall art, and even a stove heater in one section with many Japanese ceramics like tea pots on display. I ordered a Chicken teriyaki lunch box (bento) - (Entree, $14.50, 4/5) - I was happy with the heft of the bag and upon opening it, food was hot and fresh. California rolls were good and 2 pieces of shumai were crispy and nicely seasoned. Rice was the right portion and chicken was fresh-tasting with good quantity of teriyaki veggies. Some pieces were a bit tough and the seasoning overall did not really permeate, but I didn't mind. I mean, it's lunch special so you can't really expect too much. I was nicely satisfied with this bent

My authentic go to Japanese spot! Very cozy. You'll feel like you're in Japan. The food is amazing. I personally only eat raw fish here and it's always fresh. The staff are very friendly and courteous. All in all it's AMAZING! A MUST TRY.

Attention was amazing!! It was my friend’s bday and they were so accommodating… they even gave us some mochis on the house. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area cause their sushi is delicious.
