The staff here is always helpful with a genuine smile. The outdoor garden is a great place to enjoy coffee and read on a sunny days.

A good overall library, but I have one complaint. The etiquette in the “quiet” room. This is in no fault of the staff of the library but a decent amount of the time, there’s someone who just ignores the abundance of no cell phone signs or talking signs inside the quiet room. So rude and inconsiderate.

For one, loud. I mean house party loud, staff barely controls wild children that come in to run rampant and nothing personally against the staff they're all great people and very helpful and whilst understanding work needs to be done around the library, should be more considerate of patrons trying to read or focus. Specifically one star for having little to no, "no eating. Signs. I would rather not have to be told to leave half way through work and eating on a day off. If staff eats at their desks, this policy is invalidated by such. I will state there are multiple occasions where comments have been made on my personal belongings by one particular staff member who I will keep anonymous for his privacy of course. Which let me guess, somehow isn't against policy. I will still be coming to

The library was clean and quiet. However, it was dead for a Saturday, play area for children very limited, barely any toys to play with. I tried to ask the workers some questions and they were soo into their conversation their tone was like they were annoyed with me. At sometime one of them said, " oh, three more hours." Meaning till they are done "working ". I don't know the budget Massapequa has I'm sure if the workers liked their job they would find ways for people to show

The librarians are so kind to my three year old daughter, she's grown up going here since before she could walk. Kids book selection is exceptional, the toys are clean and rotated often (preCOVID, now they are put away and I appreciate the precautions they've taken for safety). They always have something that makes a trip special, coloring pages, crafts, it's a place I feel good taking my kids. I dream of the day my kids are old enough that I get to explore the non-kids side of the library, it looks nice.
