MASSA AFRICAN RESTAURANT

I have ALWAYS wanted to try African foods so when I googled and this place popped up, I just had to go! Not to mention, for me its only a 30 min drive to get to. Now this place is not the most attractive from the outside, so it may be off-putting. Please don't judge it by its cover! The food is AMAZING!!! It's not your typical restaurants with a greeter, or servers. It's literally a one man show. You come in, get a menu from the front counter, and seat yourself. Once you know what you want, if no one is at the register you ring the bell. You order and pay for your food at the register, sit back down and wait for your food to come out. I ordered the oxtail stew with jollof rice and plantain, (to-go )and everything was absolutely delicious! The food came out steaming hot, full of flavor, and the portions were very generous. What really stood out to me was the amazing customer service. I was warmly greeted, enjoyed great conversation with the owner while I waited , and felt truly appreciated as a customer. You can tell they genuinely care and go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy. Highly recommend this spot—I’ll definitely be coming back!

I just wanna say. The food was good. I am a huge foodie this place didn’t disappoint. However, there were some flaws one being the prices versus portion sizes for to go orders is ridiculously small so I want to warn you guys. Also, very long, waiting time. For walk-ins. Next, I was overcharged for products that I bought that were opened, the hot pepper, which was 9.99$. I had to throw in the garbage because it taste like Pine-Sol and ground up materials. Also, I bought some meats with a package open, as if someone opened it and resealed it. You guys have to do better, have integrity when selling things to people it’s already expensive. Tighten up and treat people fairly! shame on you guys for scalping customers on price And products.

First time trying I was just curious and wanted to try fufu. Had egusi spinach soup with fufu and it was very flavorful. Staff was very kind and helpful.
