The staff were very friendly and kind, and the indoor dining space is cute and charming. When we made our reservation, we were offered either bar or patio seating and chose the patio. Unfortunately, the patio was much colder than we expected. It would have been more comfortable if the heaters had been turned on before guests arrived rather than after, as we ended up feeling quite cold even with our coats on. The food was good, but considering the price point and location, we felt it didn’t fully meet our expectations. Overall, it may be a cozy spot for casual gatherings and get-togethers. However, if you’re looking for a more authentic Persian cuisine experience, this may not be the place that fully delivers that.
This is such a warm and welcoming space! We were able to get a couple of drinks with a bunch of our friends easily and hang out in the spacious backyard. We even were able to have our favourite beer, Back Home!
Atmosphere is vibey and the staff was lovely. The food is not authentic Iranian and it’s overpriced. We felt ripped off given the small portions and fairly standard burger. We would recommend the duck - it was tasty, but pricey for the size. It also took a long time for our mains and cocktails to arrive.
The restaurant space is very homey with a tasteful mix of Iranian and non-iranian music and we liked it. The Barbari bread was well baked but unfortunately way too salty that my dining partner and I while having enjoyed its texture couldn't finish. Zeytoon Parvardeh is a signature appetizer in Persian cuisine with olives, pomegranate sauce and walnuts being their main ingredients. Unfortunately there were only hints of walnuts and pomegranate sauce in what we had (sure there were actual pomegranate seeds - but that doesn't do), and in my opinion what we had was nothing close to Zeytoon-parvardeh. Kashk-e-bademjoon was pretty good and we enjoyed it. Tahchin could pass as a very good rice with rice cake (Tahdig). All in all, it was a fine experience, but the food didn't stand out.
This is such a hidden gem in the neighborhood. So glad we went there with our friends and we loved every dish. Never knew there is Persian tapas. The food was flavorful, right portioned and we left full, and already thinking when we're going back to try more dishes. Their backyard was beautiful.
