Maryland Fried Chicken

We always love eating at the restaurant in Blackshear. It is clean, nice & friendly staff along with the food always 100% of the time fantastic! It is prepared fresh and right then. Very few times has the food not been piping hot. A warning though, watch your fingers and tongue with the fried foods because it’s so hot that it will burn you! Too, we have been eating here almost once a week here for yearrs. I can say the food is always delicious and well worth the wait! The menu has recently been updated and easy to read with good pricing and options. The chicken -& shrimp are always wonderful and the fish is good as well. I’ve never had a meal here that was disappointing, ever! The facility, in my opinion can use some maintenance, especially in the ceiling tiles and air ducts. To me, that

The food is good, but the service sucks! The staff is rude, only one nice employee in the bunch. And if you plan on ordering chicken with trimmings, be prepared to wait for more than 45 minutes!!! I don't recommend this establishment!!! They try to make excuses for how long it takes all while they fill other orders that came in after you! If I could give them 0 stars, I would!

I've eaten at Maryland Fried Chicken before, but not at this location. We stopped in on our way to a basketball game in Waycross. The place was empty when we walked in, but the drive thru was pretty consistent. Outer orders were taken pretty quickly and we waited about 5 - 8 minutes for our food. As our food was being bagged I noticed that none of the food was made fresh to order. The chicken was in a warmer and the sides were in a refrigerator. So, I'm pretty sure they're prepared in the morning or maybe even the night before. They're definitely not fresh. The sides are then put in a microwave and warmed right before they are placed in the bag. Surprisingly, the chicken was not only piping hot, but still crispy. New to town and figured we'd try the fried chicken and livers. We were not disappointed - hot, fresh, great batter, and tasty!

I have passed by Maryland Fried Chicken many times over the years. Well today I stopped and went inside. I got some dark meat chicken, fries and creamed corn with a Sprite. I sat down and waited for my food which was brought out to me. I was talking with a customer while I waited just a bit for my food. Friendly staff and other customers. I ate my dark meat chicken, corn and fries and a roll. I was pleased with my meal.
