Mary Stuart House Bed & Breakfast

Visited my home state and wanted a place to show the personality that I remember. This was the prefect place. Mary quickly felt like family. The house was so so comfortable, clean and homey. Mary's breakfast were tasty and filling from bacon and eggs to fresh fruit and muffins. The price was totally reasonable and and the stay was worth every penny! Thank you Mary for a wonderful weekend home!

I had the best time at the Mary Stuart House B&B. Mary, the owner, was one of the nicest and most interesting people I have ever met. The house has everything you could possibly need & is very quaint. We had a bridal shower in the barn on her property and it was perfect. I can't say enough about this place.... Every morning she would make you a delicious breakfast. I will definitely return for another visit.

My husband and I stayed at Mary Stuart House this past summer, and it was delightful. Such a charming farmhouse with unique personality. It felt like being in a storybook. The breakfasts were delicious. Mary is an excellent cook! The gardens and grounds were also beautiful. If you're not looking for anything too luxurious, but instead a quaint, cozy, and homey place to stay when visiting northwest Connecticut, I highly recommend it!

I stayed here about a month ago and had such a fantastic time. Everyone was so kind and fun to talk to, especially Mary. The house itself is beautiful and old, lovingly kept with strong history. I love all the decorations and knickknacks, especially the old merry-go-round horses. The property and quaint surrounding town is also lovely. I saw so many wild daffodils around! Stay here if ou are in the area!!! Mary is super welcoming and friendly, and her home is charming. This is her childhood home repurposed as a B and B , and a retreat for her yearly family reunion. Interesting decor-her mother w a a collector of authentic carousel animals-there are 3 in the home. 2 horses and a dragon, and lots of pieces and gifts she has acquired over the years. We had a shared bath, but the rooms are lovely. My husband and I were on an overnight to see the grounds at White Flower Farms annual open house. Mary does everything she can to make you feel at home. We were greeted with an offer of hot coffee and cookies as soon as we were settled. So glad to pull up a kitchen stool and visit with Mary.
