Maruwu Seicha

Have been waiting for the day to come that this matcha spot finally opened its door! Have heard great things about their Bay Area outlets and it’s awesome that they carried more stuffs beyond the matcha drink, including the cheese tarts and gelato. Besides, the location was close to home and I always loved roaming around Culver Steps area given many options for dining. There's certainly still quite long line given how young the shop was, but it's honestly wasn't bad for a peak hour on a Saturday. Besides the line did move pretty quick with 1 attendant and 1 self-service kiosk. They would call out your name when your order was ready and ours didn't even take more than 5 minutes I think. I love the Match with a soft top serving (match ice cream) with zero sugar. It’s not too sweet but with rich match flavors. But all other drinks are delicious. The place is located in the heart of the plaza. Come in the afternoon and enjoy the food and drinks with friends at the outdoor seating under the sun. It’s lovely.

Super cute, quality matcha, the cheese tart is just so divine and creamy… definitely come here and try the matcha and cheese tart. The matcha comes with half sweet — and tbh that’s already enough it doesn’t taste too sweet or too flavorless. Would come back here. There’s frees one hour parking nearby garage but make sure you’re going to the right one because the one next to the hotel and salt and straw doesn’t validate so don’t go to that one. so many matchas in LA but Maruwu definitely does it quality and above and beyond. Cute establishment with chairs and tables, highly recommend getting matcha here if you like matcha!

This place is so cute! They are very popular right now, so don’t be surprised if you have to wait a little bit. I know everyone was here for their matcha, but their black sesame hojicha is amazing! Their ube matcha was also really good, but the hojicha stole the show. The inside of the cafe is very cute and could be a nice place to meet up with friends or get some work done!

The matcha is good. They have no light ice policy which is kinda a turn off as I don’t consume heavy ice. Place looks nice but smells funky not sure if it’s because of some specific reason but if they clean it I think it will be a good cafe!
