Martin's Best Chicken &Fish

The first time that I visited here, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I ordered bone in chicken and wings. Both the wings and chicken was very flavorful. The skin on the fried chicken with a bone is absolutely perfect. The staff there was great and very friendly. I have gone back several times since then and the service and food remain as excellent as the first time I visited.

Finally found a place that has bone-in chicken that is not a gas station. The fish and chicken here are excellent. This is a small dine-in area that you will definitely be impressed with. I had a combo that included fish and chicken. I will definitely be going back.

Nice and clean place and great to see an independent chicken operation. Empty dining at 2:30 pm and must've been the lunch leftovers, the fish was was kinda rubbery and the breading had no crunch at all, likely from the steam, but it had a good flavor. Surprised at the packaged tartar sauce with only a couple items on the menu, I expected everything from scratch. I'm more of a purist when it comes to Fried Chicken so the commercial breading didn't work for me either, but it was crispy and the chicken meat itself was delicious, so I could see it being the average consumer's favorite. The Mac and Cheese was tasty with overcooked pasta. Bottled drinks, so only counter service. Didn't say anything, but the manager/owner seemed very nice to the others that came in.

Gave me catfish that had been sitting and was mushy. Nice people but definitely dropped the ball on catfish. Sweet tea had a foul taste. They did offer to remake my fish but I declined. Place was empty and clean.

Door Dashed wings and slaw tonight. The wings were spot on. Thank you!!! The slaw was good.
