Marshall County Gas District

Horrible customer service. After years of being on autopay, it stopped taking money out of my account in the spring. Then I try to fix it multiple times just for it to be disconnected and charged a $30 fee to reconnect!?! Apparently they disconnected it without informing me in anyway. The women at the office are worthless and rude in assisting saying it’s next pays fault and I should be thankful they offer that service! What service? This town is nothing but a money guzzling hell hole. Update: called next bill pay, they said Marshall county was the worst place they had to deal with. They said they disconnect people a lot even though they pay. I paid the reconnection fee this morning and still no gas.

No indoor service so all business has to be conducted at the drive thru window. If a line backs up they ask you to drive around and get behind the line. If they allowed indoor service this wouldn't happen. The older woman working the window is just plain RUDE. She has a nasty attitude and should not be serving the public. She thinks making nasty comments regarding accounts is ok. Since there are no other available options for heating to some people we are expected to just put up with the nasty service.

I am having issues getting my mail delivered and on my way to work I tried to go through the drive-through which I’ve done many times before without my bill. After waiting for the car in front of me to finish I was told they were busy and they were only helping people at the drive-through who have their bill and I had to go inside which I did not have time to do. It was a day later and I called to ask how much my bill was so I could drop it in the box after hours and I was literally yelled at by the same lady over the phone. This is ridiculous and by far the rudest and worst customer service I’ve ever had in my life. cheer up you old grouch!

Very quick, efficient, and friendly people! First time using them so I hope to continue to enjoy their services as billing time rolls around!

I work out of town and was unable to get to the gas company to pay my bill, so I sent my Mom and because she wasn't on the account they refused to let her pay, refused to take a payment over the phone, and you can't pay online, forcing me to have to miss work hours and come into the office to pay on my account! My Gas was cut off and temperatures were scheduled to be in the 30's. All they would say "it's policy"! This was absolutely ridiculous. Why does it matter who pays the bill as long as it gets paid! They could care less! Let them sit in a freezing house and see how long they would last under their "policy". We are new to Arab and this kind of treatment is heartless!
