It is rare for me to go out of my way to write a review, so when a business motivates me like this, they have really earned it. It upsets me to see anyone who could leave a sub-par review for a place like this-- these people are totally out of touch with how awesome this spot is. So with that out of the way let me get on with the review. My GF and I were in Lynchburg for a wedding and decided to stop in to see if they had oysters. The oysters were some of the best we've had in our entire lives: an especially powerful statement considering that we are oyster lovers. We returned another day for more oysters but they were sold out, and we got some crab cakes instead. They were meaty as can be and not loaded with filler. Been wanting clams so I stopped by marsh roots a got 2 dozen. Served to my self on half she'll. I'm here to tell ya nice salty taste nice clean clam taste. Very very good. Well worth the stop

Marsh Roots provides fresh seafood directly from the coast along with locally sourced meats and vegetables. They graciously donated a variety of fish to the local fire station. It was far superior in quality than any competitor in the area and highly recommend them if you are looking for high quality, fresh seafood. Thank you Marsh Roots! I will be visiting this location to purchase more fresh seafood in the future.

Best availably of oysters in southern Virginia, they will hook you up with what ever seasonal seafood is available during that season and however much of it you need. Highly recommended.
