Mars Area Public Library

For over two years the wifi both library Wi-Fi and public Zoom has not worked at this library. Perhaps intentionally so no one ever can use the facility to work independently? But it makes it unusable. Despite my tax dollars going here I cannot use the facility due to the lack of something ubiquitous everywhere for over a decade now. Working Wi-Fi.

I never thought that coming to a library to check out books would be a problem but one of the librarians here made sure that it was. Between calling me a liar to telling me I won't be able to check out books anymore just because she didn't give me a card before I left the last time. What a joke this place is. I feel bad because alot of kids go there and have to deal with her

I take my Grandchildren to the Mars Library. Today they had a very nice craft venue for the kids. The children area is nice as they have alot of books, games for the kids to play and children friendly computers. We enjoy visiting the Mars Library.

This cute library is conveniently located in downtown Mars near a coffee shop. There's a large play area for kids and they are very organized. They have storytime and various activities for kids.

Mars Area Public Library is small, but extremely kid centric. Yes, it can get loud with children in the library, but gone are the days of the stereotypical library where the librarian "shush's" people for speaking in a library. Libraries are in the process of reinventing themselves and I believe Mars Area Public LIbrary is doing a great job such a transformation. Moving from a repository of printed material to a hands on educational center is difficult, but Mars is moving steadily and rapidly in that direction. Hopefully the people this library serves will continue to support the it and recognize its current achievements and amazing potential.
