If you haven’t tried Marquez in downtown Hammonton, run—don’t walk—get there ASAP! We went on a Sunday afternoon, and honestly, with the dishes coming out of that kitchen, there should be a line out the door. From the moment you walk in, it’s a great experience. You seat yourself, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is clean, and the overall vibe is spot on. We skipped appetizers this time—not because they didn’t look good, but because we were hungry and ready for the main event. No worries though… we’ll definitely be back. This is truly my favorite Mexican restaurant in town! My husband and I frequent maybe once a week because it’s so good. We love their veggie quesadilla (pictured) and the al pastor burrito. The salsa guadalajara is also so good and spicy! We love it.

We stopped in for a late lunch and had an excellent experience. The service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. The complimentary chips came with a flavorful refried bean dip and a slightly spicy, delicious salsa. My wife and I both ordered burritos, rancheros style, which included rice and beans. I chose the chicken, and she had the al pastor—both were excellent and generously sized. Plenty of on-street parking was available right out front. Highly recommend!

NOT A BAR!!! They have no liquor license. The steak on my nachos was full of gristle and tasteless. The cheese on the nachos is only the tinest sprinkle of dry queso. I dug through after taking the photo to make sure. There isn't anything good I can say about the food other than it looked nice. In this economy it sucks to waste money on a place like this. Lesson learned.

Amazing food, consistently cooked over multiple visits! Will not disappoint! My personal favorites are the quesabirria and skirt steak! You must try they are amazing!
