The reason you order these meals is for the convenience. We pay extra for the ingredients because they ship them together with a recipe card. I lasted two weeks with Marley Spoon. The first week I ordered 3 recipes. The prices are high, ingredients are fresh, but they missed at least one ingredient on the first delivery.(Stir fry sauce - an important ingredient, but not one I have at home)I reported it and the AI bot says "thanks for your feedback". I ordered two recipes for the second delivery and both are missing ingredients, again not common ingredients to have at home. Basically out of 5 recipes, three were missing ingredients, so 60% failure. I called them since the AI bot again said "thanks for your feedback" they gave me a $21 credit between the ingredients. After ordering from Marley Spoon for some time, I have reached the point where I am finally fed up. I have cancelled my account. I really do like the Marley Spoon recipes, which is why it took me so long to cancel. However, I have had various issues with meat and sauce packages leaking in the box and items that are already spoiled and unusable. Marley Spoon is not cheap. The least they can do is package the items so that they are not all over the box and send quality, unspoiled items. When reporting that an item was spoiled or that an item was damaged upon opening the box, the credit that you get is very small. It does not take into account if the item was a main item in the dish. DO NOT PURCHASE- PASS!!! Absolutely appalling customer service. Would gladly give negative stars. My box was not delivered during the 14 hour delivery window. In fact, it is now 10pm and still not delivered. I contacted customer care THREE times during the day trying to figure out where the delivery was. The final time I contacted customer care I requested a full refund as the meat will be unacceptable for consumption. I was informed by customer care that despite having been on ice packs for (at this point) over 17 hours that if it felt cold it should be ok to eat. I explained that not only do I not agree with that (having a medical background) but I would not feel comfortable feeding my family this meat.
