I have to say, I was really disappointed with this order. I had high expectations, but it turned out to be a big letdown. The fries were just okay—not bad, but pretty basic. The fish was decent—golden and not overcooked, which was a plus. But the real problem was the chicken wings and chicken tenders—both were severely burnt. The wings were dark all over, and the tenders were way too brown, dry, and almost inedible. And to top it off, the sandwich bread was burnt on the edges too. I don’t know who was cooking, but it felt really rushed and inconsistent. I hope they work on their quality because right now, only the fish was decent.”
Had a very good and unique dish, grilled octopus tacos (chips and salsa as the side should be upgraded next time it is on the specials menu however). That along with a martini with the best blue cheese stuffed olives in the area IMO. Shout out to our server Jack who did a great job with a perfect blend of humor and attentiveness.
Had a nice meal at MPT recently....got a seat on a relatively not to busy night and was a solid experience all around. The order this night consisted of pork belly in a gochujang sauce that gave it a sweet tangy asian flare... it was a solid interpretation. The yucca fries were interesting...they were more like a mashed yucca consistency (not as dense as I was expecting) w/a nice crispy battered exterior (the really didn't need the ranch powder as they were salty enough) and to finish off there was the chicken (I forget the name) in a pesto cream sauce that was really good but had to be finished there as it wasnt something that would keep Overall it was decent food on a decent night and would come back to try something else.
This place is a great option for a quick bite or a nice sit down meal. The wait staff and manager are always nice and welcoming when I am there. They have a nice selection of beer on tap and a diverse menu with plenty of options for everybody in your group. I’d recommend this place whenever you’re in the federal road area.
A warm Tavern with great food and even greater service. They know the perfect medium rare for your burger. If you like craft beer, the dark lager is a strong recommend. Ask for John, he will tell you exactly what you need to order depending on what you crave!
