Market Place Kitchen & Bar - Newtown

We hosted a private event in their private room this past weekend, and everything was fantastic. From management assisting with all the planning details to the staff on the day of the event, the experience was excellent. Our servers were attentive and very accommodating, and the food was prompt and delicious. We were extremely pleased with how smoothly everything was booked and executed, making the entire process easy and enjoyable. Will certainly use them in the future.

Our first time here on a Friday night around 7 pm. We ordered the Brussels sprouts special (farm to table), wings, burger with truffle fries (burger was actually medium rare -yum), seared tuna (rare as requested) and apple bread pudding. Everything was delicious. Wish they had the outdoor fires going, they haven’t worked in a few years? Specialty drinks were delicious. Service was great. We’ll definitely come again.

This place is overpriced and the food was not great at all. The service was good but $25 for pasta that looks like this is just robbery. The steak sandwich has 3 tiny pieces of steak on really disappointing. Definitely won’t be back.

Profoundly disappointed with our meals at Market Place in Newtown last night. I ordered the appetizer Brussel sprouts which in the past were great. For $16.00 they served a small bowl which contained a thin layer of tiny dry Brussel sprout outer leaves the size of a snip of parsley! The meals were also very disappointing, significantly reduced in portion ( plenty of rice but just three small pieces of tasty chicken in the sticky chicken bowl). Way overpriced. This used to be a favorite but I will not choose to go back.
