Mariscos Vallarta Mexican Grill

Today we had a great first experience with the newly opened Mariscos Vallarta restaurant down near SR 200 and 484. It replaced a very disappointing Equestrian Grill, which was more miss than hit in my experience. The carnitas were some of the most tender pork I've ever had and the bacon wrapped shrimp was amazing. Sopapillas are hard to find in this town and there's are quite good. Plenty of different salsas in a variety of heat to choose. The chips could be a bit bigger but were very good. Excellent service and reasonable prices in one of the most eclectic menus in town here. We will definitely be back. Again and again.

Outstanding food!! Everything was delicious and fresh. Our server Dulce was very attentive and very sweet. All around excellent experience we will definitely be back!

This is the best Mexican food we had had the pleasure to experience since moving to Ocala a year ago. Everything is made from scratch in this family run restaurant. You absolutely will not regret stopping in the first time as it will become your go to Mexican restaurant!

You know those hole in the wall, off the beaten path places you discover, love and want to keep it all to your self? This. Is. That. Place. Just opened literally days ago. Prices are so reasonable. Great portions. Delicious entrees. If you like octopus- you dont want to miss this place. They definitely know how to prepare and cook it - tender and delicious. Had that as their fajita dish- $26.99. Five large beautifully prepared octopus pieces over perfectly cooked onion peppers and tomatoes. Came with a huge portion of salad, Sourcream, rice and refried beans. I had the enchiladas rancheros $10.99. Two cheese enchiladas smothered with pork carnitas that was amazing. Came with generous portions of rice and salad topped with sour cream and shredded cheese. So good. Yummy salsa. Got guacamo
