Mariscos Sayulita Nayarit II

Had a lovely seafood lunch in Rivergate. Robert N. Hoff had seafood alfredo and I had seafood mix in a pineapple 🍍 with cream sauce and cheese. So smooth.

The food was ok, the portion size could have been better, and it seemed like more of an upscale Mexican restaurant. I'd rather have my entree with the usual rice, beans, pico, etc... instead of dry rice and a salad. Also, my husband pointed out to me that we got salsa and chips for an appetizer, but other customers of other cultures (or what they thought were other cultures)received tostadas and they hadn't even sat down good or ordered any food. That in itself put a very bad taste in my mouth and I do not believe that we will be returning here. I did like the mariachi band though.

We recently dined at this restaurant and ordered the pulpo al carbón and grilled fish. Unfortunately, both dishes had a very strong gas taste, as if the grill was not properly adjusted or cleaned. The flavor was so overpowering that my son couldn’t eat the grilled octopus at all. We were really looking forward to enjoying these dishes, but the strong gas flavor ruined the experience. Because of this, we would not recommend ordering anything from the grill. We hope the restaurant addresses this issue, as it significantly affects the quality of the food.

If you’re hungry for great Mexican Seafood Mariscos Sayulita is the place! The portions are generous and tasty; the service excellent!! Our server Deanna was excellent, hope we get her next time!

These reviews are a lie! Except this one. My girlfriend and I arrived to a restaurant that was nearly empty and after our meal it was no surprise as to why. Chicken burritos don’t have feelings but if they did the one I ordered would be filled with sadness. You might be wondering about the refried beans? Keep wondering, I got what could be described as bean soup so I don’t know either. Rice was bland. Either way, you’ll read this and still probably end up going but I tried to warn you. P.S. my tummy hurts. Attached is a photo of my disdain.
