Mariscos El Malecon #2

I recently visited El Malecón Seafood Restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience was not as great as I had hoped, especially when it came to the seafood. I ordered a campechana, expecting the traditional mixed seafood cocktail. However, what I received was essentially a ceviche with octopus and shrimp, which wasn’t what I anticipated. The dish lacked the variety and depth I usually associate with a proper campechana. While the food wasn’t terrible, it didn’t match my expectations, and I would have appreciated a more accurate description of the dish on the menu.

Las tiritas de Camaron y Pescado were really good 10/10. Los sopes de carne Asada were pretty good too. I really liked that they include authentic cotija cheese, Avocado, any sour cream but the actaul sope tortilla base was extremely hard. Overall I would give it an 8/10 because of the great authentic ingredients.

Just took my friends, who ended getting the pescado saradando. The severe told us the kind of fish they used and we decided to try it...best decision of the night, it was full of flavor. I got oyster with different cheviche on it. High recommend this place, staff are very nice and willing to explain the menu, but honestly you can't go wrong on anything.

Service was good. Could be more attentive and it took a little long to get cashed out, but overall the food was good.

Loved everything about this place! Service was friendly and fast. We got yummy chips/salsa and some seafood broth with a shrimp for free! The food was delicious, and unique. My pescadillas were crunchy outside and juicy tender in the center. The mayo chili combo was a perfect dip. I can't wait to go back and try more. A ton of seafood options, ceviche, and a happy hour that runs 12-5. Very impressed, highly recommend the trip to deep SE Stark.
