I got the barbacoa street tacos and my husband got the Mexican burger. Both were good! I wish the queso had some spice to it. I added some salsa to it for more flavor.

I ordered a chicken plate after asking for a recommendation. The chicken was inedible. I asked the server to please switch to a beef plate after not touching my plate besides the first bite of chicken. After 15 minutes, the owner came over. He said that it was my fault for asking for a recommendation and then ordering the plate. He said they don’t replace food because they’ll lose money. So his normal solution would be for the customer to pay for the plate they sent back? He was extremely rude and came off threatening. We will absolutely never be back.

The best Mexican restaurant in Rockdale. Restaurant deserves better than an average 4.3 rating!!! We've patronized a few in Hutto, Round Rock, Rockdale but finally made it to this place. We are from Taylor and glad we traveled into Rockdale to patronize this place and it was NO disappointment. Was highly impressed; very good food. We both ordered the carne guisda and menudo for my mother. Love the atmosphere, decor and plenty of parking. If you are a veteran, this place offers military discount (which many restaurants DO not and with increase in food prices, a discount like 15% goes a long way). Highly recommend!! Good service by our waitress Myra. "love the mariposas (butterflies") One additional comment_please lower your menudo price, other restaurants offer small at 8.99 or 10.0

The restaurant is clean, bright and welcoming, with a cute Mexican flair. We were with a group in a private room in the back. The waiststaff are friendly and helpful. We ordered a small queso and the Fajitas Gonzales for one and split it. While it wasn't as much food as we've gotten at other places, it was still plenty for us to both eat and be satisfied, and the chicken and beef were tender, not chewy like most places. We also both had a large margarita, frozen, and they were so good! We plan to go back and try some other dishes. We definitely recommend!

We ended up coming here after a not so good experience at another restaurant in which we left there and decided to try the new place in town. Love the atmosphere of this place, the booths are cozy but still well lit. We were seated quickly and had drinks within minutes (waited 15 mins at the other place for water and a menu..) Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and answered our questions about menu items. The Tex Mex enchiladas were very good, and the rice is GREAT! My husband got the charro beans, it was like a soup and also very good! The chicken in the tacos was a touch dry, but otherwise everything was flavorful.
