Mariana's Deli

A lovely port in a storm. Simple, unassuming diner / deli. Open on a snow day when other shops were closed. Friendly service. Ready to serve freshly made items along with a classic diner menu of salads, sandwiches, etc. I had the beef stew with rice and it was perfect. The beef was tender, the carrots and potatoes were cooked through, and the overall flavor was robust and well rounded.

Great deli, clean, fast, quality products! Clarified my sandwich three times, asked for a pastrami on rye with just Russian dressing. Received a pastrami sandwich with no Russian, but added lettuce tomato and onion?? Bit of a language barrier.

Stopped in for bfast, eager to support a new biz. You order/pay at the counter which is fine. Didn’t like that food is delivered to your table on trays like you're eating in a cafeteria. Food was disappointing: inconsistent temps of items on same plate, ordered an omelette and received watery mass of scrambled eggs, home fries were tasteless and unevenly cooked, side of chorizo sausage was 4 links of what can only be described as run of the mill frozen pork sausage links - not like any chorizo I've ever had. Bathroom is a challenge to access, especially if you have a small child or any challenge navigating stairs and extremely tight spaces.

For a moment I thought I was in India eating the fries they gave me. They tasted rancid, like they were made with the same oil they fry other things in. The hamburger was really tough, there was a lot of oil in the fries.🤮😡

My husband and I popped in while visiting the area. The Chorizo Burrito and my Marianna's omelette was very tasty and filling. Everything came out quickly and temperature was spot on. It is a casual dinning experience and very clean.
