Maple + Batter

I came here on vacation with my family and we were looking for a great breakfast place on the lake and came across Maple + Batter! I recommend either calling ahead or getting here early because this is a hotspot to eat. We waited about an hour, but don’t worry there’s a cute little shopping district and it’s right on the lake so you can go for a walk while you’re waiting for your table. It was well worth the weight. The food was absolutely delicious. I had my bagel & lox’s, and my dad had the biscuits and gravy!

Service and atmosphere was good. But let’s get onto the meal. The mimosa was served in a tumbler, and as you can imagine, the aesthetics did nothing for the flavor. It might have been the first mimosa that I didn’t finish. Eggs Benedict special was southwest Benedict where flavors didn’t marry, and was served just shy of warm (hash browns were hot, egg portion was not). Breakfast charcuterie board was presented nicely, but none of us could point out anything on the board that was particularly delicious/scrumptious. Given the variety of food we ordered, I doubt we’ll be back.

Maple + batter is such a wonderful place! The food is savory & every server has great customer service! Kim is a delight! I highly recommend multiple dishes! The coffee is always good! The monthly special pancakes are always fun & tasty! The breakfast tacos with chorizo & the sweet potato maple hash are my favorites, and you can’t go wrong with their classic! 100/10 best place to enjoy breakfast with a nice view, easy access to the local shops & a pet friendly porch seating area!

Yum! Yum! If you want some fun items to eat that are delicious - then you want to stop in 🛑 and give them a try. Relaxed atmosphere with great service - Erica was a delight, courteous and knowledgeable about their menu. Candied bacon was one of our favorites- but the Truffle omelette was cooked with perfection. The maple syrup was a reminder of the Michigan surrounding. We will be returning and I recommend without reservation that you will enjoy a tasty meal here.

Our first time here, and it did not disappoint. Our server Colin gave great suggestions for food and drinks. We enjoyed every single bite. We will be back.
