Manoa Poke Shop

Best poke and best Hawaiian food in Boston for sure. Poke was so ‘ono, so delicious. We got kalua pig plates with ahi shoyu and salmon shoyu poke 👌 I wish I knew about this place sooner!! I’ve been craving food from back home and this hits the spot. Also I love that they had Hawaiian Sun.

I got the spicy tuna and salmon shoyu mix bowl. I think I had high expectations for this place because of all the reviews. I think both the proteins were very fresh. I do think the spicy tuna was not spicy and could have surprisingly used a little more flavor. I think the cucumber salad could have been a little more fresh. I also got the guava cake — the actual cake was a little dense but still enjoyable and the guava frosting was absolutely delicious. I do think both the poke bowls and dessert were on the pricier side.

Such good fish, best shoyu ahi in the city, wish I just got a pound of that. But why would you put this much ginger when the fish is fresh? The ginger concentration is honestly offensive, it brings back the trauma when I was five and my grandma chopped up ginger to secretly mix in my food because she thinks it’s good for me. Please, ginger is good, but not when it’s the majority of the marinate and a part of the salad.

Manoa Poke – Somerville, MA 🍱🌺 📍 300 Beacon St, Somerville, MA 02143 If you’re craving authentic Hawaiian poke, Manoa Poke is where it’s at! 🌊🐟 We tried their Mix Plate which comes with fluffy white rice 🍚, creamy mac salad 🥗, crunchy kimchi cucumbers 🥒🔥, and your choice of two proteins—we went with spicy tuna and salmon. Both were solid, but the real winner? 👑 ✨SALMON BELLY✨ Coated in the most addicting teriyaki sauce 🍯, it was sweet, savory, and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth. I don’t even like salmon usually, but this blew me away. 10/10 would order again (and again 😍). We also tried the Kalua Pig 🐖—tender pulled pork shoulder slow-cooked to perfection, served with their housemade yaki sauce. It’s juicy, flavorful, and a must-try for anyone who’s not big on seafood. 🍰 Dessert time! W

The food here is fantastic!! I got the spicy salmon and spicy tuna as part of the mix plate. The rice and macaroni was perfect!! Can’t wait to go back !!
