Manita's Restaurant

If you can catch them open, this family owned place is worth stopping for country American or Tex Mex. They do have a buffet, but I've never tried it. Food: Although not pictured, I enjoy their barbacoa, guisado, huevos rancheros, pericos, and chicken fried steak. Food can be inconsistent depending on the cook, but the last CFS I had was perfect and competed with Del Rio's "fancy" steakhouse by the lake. Service: iIt's usually understaffed, and it gets busy, so it can be a little slow but not for lack of effort. Always friendly. Atmosphere: Hasn't changed in forever. It's cute in its own way, but it could use a face-lift. I do like the different old coffee mugs, though.

Great authentic Mexican food at the mom and pop-like kitchen! Weekend barbacoa tacos there at Manita's is a guaranteed stop on every hunting trip I make to Bracketville.

very good place to eat,got there around 9:45,but they don't open until 10a.m,the breakfast tacos were big and full of the ingredients on it,i had two breakfast tacos,but i could probably would be full with just one since they were full of egg, potatoes and cheese and had hot coffee,i do recommend this place.

We made a quick stop here after touring Fort Clark and caught them just before closing time on a Sunday. I had the chicken sandwich and it was okay. My husband had some sort of club sandwich and said it was pretty good. The service was great and our waitress was very nice. She made sure we were not neglected. It's a small place with a very welcoming atmosphere. The food came out fast and we were back on the road in no time.

Was really looking forward to this on Sunday. Hours said open, they weren't. Now I'm going to go cry
