Manassas Park City Library

Apparently they only have Spanish Story time on Saturdays. English on Tuesdays. Idk if nayone in programming nows this but there are english-speaking parents who work during the week and would like evening or Saturday events for their kids too. I’ve looked up 13 different titles from BIPOC male and female authors and only 1 of them was carried here (not checked out, just no results). It’s unacceptable that I have to drive 25 minutes to Bull Run library for 97% of my TBR list. Manassas Park Library, please do better. The area you service is much more diverse now.

I love this library for my toddler who just turned 4. So friendly staff and well-managed story time with crafting and other features for kids such as toys, screens and painting tables. I don't come here all the time with my toddler but usually plan ahead before I head out here. Need a ticket as the space get too crowded unexpectedly; and from my experience as a mom it would be tough for a story teller to supervise young kids during the story time and it doesn't look like ample space to be honest. They do music and dance time every other Wednesday as far as I know and I visited there once with my girl and we had sort of fun. Make sure to plan ahead for you and your little one and enjoy! An hour session like this costs mostly $15-16 at a play group but this is free to everyone! I bet it's wo

Such a wonderful addition to Manassas! The library is beautifully lit with natural light and the staff is so friendly, we will definitely be coming back! I am so excited for Jiranis to open on the bottom level too. Also, there are a lot of fun sitting areas and the library hosts tons of fun events each month. We were able to catch mini-golf and it was a great memory!

Book choices, cleanliness, and people working there are all excellent. I saw a huge problem that may needs to get addressed. Some elementary schoolers and a couple of teenagers were hugging the library computers to play roblox, for at least 2 hours. They were their before my kids and I got there, and they were still their playing the game when we left 2 hours later. And they weren't just playing normal version of roblox. They were playing FPS version/mod of the game. It's mind boggling that the games like roblox is allowed on a public library computer to begin with. Kids playing on the computers were rowdy; they were arguing because 1 kid was hugging 1 computer for over an hour. There were 2 computers for 5 kids. The library providing free internet is great, but the library is not

I arrived for story time and it was out of tickets ? They do a small craft so I understand there is limited supplies so I asked if we can just not do the craft. There was plenty of space left in the room and I really fail to understand why we needed a ticket to sit on the floor and participate in a story time. I did not see online anywhere advertised that a ticket was required and that space was limited. Anyway I had an extremely disappointed two year old and a cranky newborn that dragged to library for no reason. I probably will not be coming back as there is no way for me to know if there will be tickets left before I leave my house.
