Mamas Place

After seeing a couple of posts about a gigantic ham steak, I had to check it out for myself—so this morning I took a drive to Mama’s Place. It’s a small, rustic café right on Main Street with that classic hometown feel. I seated myself and was quickly greeted by Liz, the manager and one of the servers, who made me feel welcome right away. When I looked at the menu, I honestly asked if they were running some kind of special because the prices were shockingly low for what you get. I ordered the ham steak breakfast with eggs, hash browns, biscuits, and gravy—and in under five minutes my plate hit the table. I was blown away. After a big storm came through and knocked out power and left us without dinner Friday night we showed up to Mama’s Place hungry on Saturday morning. It’s a small home style diner, everyone there was super friendly! The food showed up fast and was delicious. I ordered the sausage breakfast special and a bacon egg cheeseburger, my wife had the bacon breakfast with a pancake. It was all soooo good just really hit the spot. We traveled around 8 hours from Owensboro Kentucky to get to this area to pick up a new Cane Corso pup for our family. While all the driving back and forth in 2 days time and the storm power outage put a damper on things it was still a great trip worth taking. Everyone we ran into throughout the Seneca area was an absolute pleasure, friendly and helpful.

Um, WOW! Decided to come in on a whim and it was one of the best decisions decisions my life. If you can't tell, this is a LOT of food for a really good price!! I mean literally I will be able to eat just my plate for a couple days and you just can't beat the prices at that size. Everyone is so so nice and the food is DELICIOUS. I really cannot recommend this place enough. If you have the time, stop in and get some food, you will not regret it!!

Stopped in here on my way to Dallas from Chicago and I absolutely loved it. No frills just an old diner that takes you back in time. The food was stick to your ribs good and exactly what I needed before I headed back on the road. Our waitress Virginia was an absolute sweetheart and made my meal that much more enjoyable. Next time I'm in Seneca I'll be sure to stop in again.

Really loved this cute little place. The waitress was so sweet, and looks like the menu photo! We are a small family on a budget and I was able to feed all three of us with tax for $18 - a nice little breakfast! This is called “small breakfast”!
