Mama's Pizza Kitchen

First time! Was recommended by a lifetime DC resident to try this place. The pizza dough layer is not thick. The cheese is great quality and the pizza was baked to perfection! I requesting plastic ware and the owner was careful to show his employee how to retrieve forks/knives using a napkin for sanitary reasons. The owner seems to employ people from a variety of backgrounds and is hands on and patient with training. The food was very quickly made, too. Very pleased — will be back!

First Trip: I ordered a Medium Pepperoni / Sausage / Onion pizza. Mom & Pop style with the crumbled Italian sausage well seared. Perfect crust also! Will add this place to my rotation...... 2nd Trip: Tried the Grilled Buffalo wings plain, and the Mozzarella Sticks, both good!!!!! I would suggest a "Pizza Sauce Change" it tastes great with onions on the pizza but does register as "Too Sweet" without onions........... 3rd Trip: Meatball & Cheese sandwich, I have words like: Great, Elevated, Craft, and Bespoke!!!! If its been awhile since you licked your fingers during a meal, THIS MIGHT BE THE ONE!!!!!!!!

I love Mama! The food and service is always good! I miss her so much! I did ask about Mama! It’s been a while since I’ve seen her, and I was glad to hear she was doing good. Everyone is so nice in the restaurant! Anytime I come to DC. I have to stop and get some good pizza! Mama’s kitchen is the best.

Delightful people, delicious pizza and amazing prices. This is a neighbourhood staple for a reason all love to the people running it.

Been coming here for many years and has met the same consistent standard the whole time. They have an excellent group of employees who are very helpful. Ali is a great pizza cook, he has passion and knowledge about pizza and that goes a long way
