I’m not trying to do a negative review. I love the food from here but it seems like every time I come I get less meat for a big price. If I’m gonna pay $20 for egusi or okra soup I would like more than a tiny piece of meat. If you get chicken they give you a lot but if you get beef or goat they don’t give you hardly any. Also $18 bucks for one scoop of soup in ridiculous. So I often pay $5 per 2 more scoops. The food is good but the price is hwy robbery🙄
I try the pounded yam and egusi soup combo and the suya. It’s my first time trying this and it was incredible. The fufu and the egusi soup go so well together. Suya was also very well season and nice texture. Definitely a must try.
First time customer here and I will be returning! Customer service was excellent. Though one employee and I were the only customer there the young man was extremely kind, helpful and patient. I asked a few questions and he answered with a smile each time. I didn’t feel rushed at all. I ordered egusi and the spinach soup which I believe to be Efo. Each came with a choice of protein in which I chose white fish and a side of fufu. EVERYTHING WAS FLAVORFUL. I arrived maybe an hour before closing so this may be the reason for my fish being dry but I will surely order the fish again just much earlier in the day in hopes I just lucked out last night. Though I still enjoy the restaurant I usually drive 50 minutes to Stone Mountain for I’m glad to have finally given Mama Puts a try and will surely
I honestly don’t understand any of these negative reviews. I guess you can say that I am a fairly newer customer. But I’ve been going to the restaurant faithfully now for the past several months. Each and every time I am greeted with a big smile!! The women behind the counter (there are two different ones) they smile and immediately make me feel like I am family. Most often when I come I get the egusi (prepared with no meat/dairy products as I’m vegan. Don’t judge me. This is my cheat meal.) it’s always absolutely delicious. If I ask to taste something they do so without hesitation. Very patient too I might add because sometimes it takes me time to decide what I want. I often call my son to show him what they have on the menu for the day. I am Haitian. And while Haitian cuisine is my favor
The way this food has never failed me!!! I get the same thing almost every time egusi and spinach with cow skin and cow foot🤩🤩 my daughter got me hooked on the boiled egg It’s so spicy and so good 🤤 although I didn’t get it this time the okra soup is amazing
