Mama Pho

A phenomenal 5-star experience awaits at Mama Pho Grand Street, a spot that has absolutely redefined my understanding of Vietnamese cuisine. Nothing much to say… me and my hubby were sick and were looking for a morning soup. The only place I could find open in the morning was this place and at the hour we came in there was only one other lady sitting inside. It was very chill inside and I was worried about the reviews that said it was chaotic, which it was not. The pho was very good, my meat was very chewy but I also got some extra tendon balls in the soup and they were very tasty, would recommend switching or adding that. The dumplings that came before the soup was so good, the crunchy spicy sauce was delicious. Would go again.

I love love love love love this place for PHO! Not to be any type of way, but this is my favorite location out of all of the locations!!! My baby Enjoyed the surf and turf pho, While I enjoyed the Steak pho!!!! We enjoyed the appetizer of spring rolls and amazing Thai Tea to wash it all down!! Our waitress Lisa was amazing. She accommodate all of our needs and was very very professional and sweet. Definitely check this place out Anytime you’re in Brooklyn or if you’re feeling the need of some warm soup!! Oh, and even though I didn’t order it, don’t forget to try out their Bun mi sandwich’s!!!

We’re extremely disappointed. The meat served to us was undercooked, cold, and had a strong rotten odor. Both my husband and I confirmed it was spoiled. When we informed management, we were brought another plate that appeared to contain the same bad meat, making it clear the issue wasn’t taken seriously. We paid and left, and I soon developed food-poisoning-like symptoms. We used to enjoy this restaurant, but after this and prior similar incidents, food safety concerns remain. Originally came for a bánh mi sandwich but they were sold out I think? So I got the chicken pho and omg it was SO GOOD. I am still dreaming about it, it was my first time trying pho too. Definitely coming back.
