Mama Lune's Jamaican Grill

After watching a JL Jupiter food episode I came by to check this restaurant out. It's so hard to find good cultural food here in South Jersey but this place didn't disappoint! I had the Oxtail/Jerk Chicken Platter and Curry Chicken Platter along with 2 island drinks. It was a bit pricey.. but the food was really good and flavorful. The Jerk Chicken had some real spice to it too! I will definitely be back to try some other dishes. The customer service was on point and very inviting.. 👌🏿

Best Jamaican food i had in years, came all the way from philly and the food was fresh and the portions were perfect. The sweet lady looked out heavy on these platters im definitely comming back. You can tell they care about their customers

This restaurant is more suitable for pick-up only. Ordered twice already and got curry chicken both times and the food was good. For me, the food was a bit saltier side so I added some veggies. I didn’t see any vegetarian menu when I was there.

First let me begin by saying the owners are THEEEEE NICEST people I’ve ever encountered at any jamaican restaurant I’ve been to. They are very welcoming and they greet you with proper attitude. Excuse me as I forget the name of the gentlemen who is usually always behind the counter serving these DELICIOUS platters. For it being my first time going, I ordered 2 platters. A platter of oxtail, rice & peas, with cabbage & also a platter of curry chicken and cabbage w/ white rice on the side. EVERYTHING met my expectations; even to the spiciness in the curry. I loved every bite of it, as well as the other person I’ve brought the platter for. The owner allowed me to sample his stew chicken, which was also another great choice. Definitely try their jerk chicken, you can’t go wrong. And get the large size vs the small, it’s worth the upcharge. The jerk chicken isn’t as spicy as some other places (great for those who can’t eat spice) but the flavor is there. The skin absorbs all the nice flavors of the jerk spices and the meat is juicy and flavorful. Love their rice and beans too.
