Take a detour in the road to eat here! The lunch buffet has plenty of choices. Salad bars are so hard to find, add a dessert bar we are stopping forever. Thank you for feeding us again today!

Okay, so this place is a diamond in the haystack. If you want home cooking for an affordable price this is the place to go. They have new owners and since they've taken over it's only gotten better! It was never bad before, but you can definitely tell an improvement in the quality of the food and the prices are still the same which is unbelievably cheap for food this good so close to home. The service has really improved as well The new owners are very nice and polite, not to mention they're in there working right beside their employees. Tonight I had the chicken fried steak and it absolutely met my expectations. It is hand battered and very much homemade. My husband had the hamburger steak with brown gravy and mashed potatoes. I wasn't able to get a picture of his because he gobbled up

For years I'd been meaning to make the drive out to Hardin County to check out Mama Jacks, and I'm sure glad I finally got around to it! For one: You're not going to find a better quality lunch buffet at a more affordable price, anywhere. The food on MJ's buffet is some of the best comfort food around, especially the meatloaf on Wednesdays. Friday night with the seafood buffet, nowadays, there is also a great deal of talent booked regularly to entertain patrons. Check it out, and I can pretty much guarantee Mama Jacks will become your new favorite place!

My wife and I ate the buffet Friday night. It was Valentines day so it was really busy. The BBQ crabs were as close to either what Channel Inn or the original Sartin's in Sabine Pass used to serve. Crabs were nice and full. Everything was fresh and hot. We will definitely be back.

This has been one of our go-to places for many years. Not anymore. We have given it 3 chances since it has changed ownership. The food is nowhere near the quality that it used to be. The buffet is sparse the majority of the time. The food is all very bland now. There was a hair in my husband's salad. Thankfully the salad was immediately changed out as soon as he let the server know.The most disappointing part is that they even changed the cinnamon rolls and that was the best part. They are much smaller and so dry now with very little cinnamon, if any. I hate to have to take this little restaurant out of our rotation but unfortunately today was our last trip. We will certainly miss it
