Malcolm Purvis Library

We have missed the library so much and hadn’t been since before COVID. We had such a good time here! They had so many cute picture books for my girls and a cute little valentines craft to take home and make. I highly recommend this cute little branch!

Nice, quiet, clean and organized. Great kids area and book selection. Staff is so kind and greets my kids by name! We really enjoy the free kids activities this library offers!

While this library is a little older than some of the branches in Montgomery County, it is still very clean and accessible at all times. The staff is VERY regular- for the past few years (out of over 20) I've popped in more with my younger children to see the same ladies working throughout the building. Everyone is always personable, and it is just as quiet as you would expect a library to be. If they do not have a selection that you're looking for, either you can place a hold & transfer online through your account or one of the staff members can do it for you and it will arrive in just a few days. Do yourself an immense favor and drop in and/or bring your family- take a look in a book!

I stopped in here because I had time between errands and I was looking to find a quiet place to study. This location was clean and relatively quiet, and the sweetest lady at the front desk welcomed me, set me up with a library card, and introduced me to the building. I am really looking forward to coming back and studying here.
