My husband and I first time eating here. The ambience was nice. Soft music good vibe. They had nice seating however not very big. We quickly realized it was more of a take out than a place to sit down. Not really knowing how the process we asked the young lady behind the counter she was nice very soft spoken. We ordered a little bit of everything to get the feel. I ordered the combo fried shrimp and chicken with greens and Mac and cheese. The fried chicken tasted like it was fried in old grease but ok fried shrimp was just ok. Greens were so salty my high blood pressure jumped 12 points after one bite the Mac and cheese while was cheesy had an after taste to it. Top tier across the board!! This has quickly become our new favorite restaurant!!! Between my husband and I we’ve literally visited 4-5 times this week alone, for lunch or dinner! The food is delicious and the customer service is top tier! Our absolute favorites are the Cheesesteak Jawnadas and the Pepper Steak Bowl. But literally everything taste amazing so anything you order is a win! The chef and co-owner , Shantell, is also a pleasure. She makes time to come out and engage with the customers when possible and always provide clarity on any questions about the app or product availability. So glad we discovered this gem!

Sojourner's Review A brief survey of my public reviews will reveal that I barely, if ever, give a five-star review. However, with "Make Love To Your Taste Buds" or "dah's Soul Food Cafe", I'm rather hard-pressed not to give a five-star review. After briefly surveying their menu, I opted out of my standard soulfood go-to, i.e. chicken wings, and was torn between the turkey wings and the pepper steak. After briefly consulting the restaurateur for her opinion, I settled upon the pepper steak platter; which came with two sides, in addition to the white rice that the pepper steak and gravy was served over. I did, however, opt for my standard soulfood sides, candied yams and baked macaroni & cheese. In addition, I ordered a side of collard greens. The ambience of the restaurant was very welcom

The staff seems really nice and friendly and the restaurant is nice ,However the food is Horrible smh. The chicken wings taste as if they were not all the way done and was chewy and slimey, the macaroni and cheese is dry and kinda like how the Jamaican store makes theirs. The yams were good . The dorito ball was horrible and looks like dog food in the inside, the turkey wings in scared to even taste haven’t tried it as of yet but I kinda feel like it’s gonna be horrible too smh, the Seafood empanadas are so so and the greens were bland. Save your money!

The customer service team was top tier, genuinely warm and inviting. The food was AMAZING!! Well seasoned and delectable. I’m from out of town but I can’t wait to come back!
