Ordered the lamb dinner for $27.00. I should have just lit my money on fire.. the lamb was so over seasoned, you didn't know what you we're eating. The fries were soggy, because the over seasoned lamb was placed on top of them. Whenever I eat lamb, I prefer to be able to taste it. Instead, I tasted seasonings that overpowered the taste of the lamb. Very, very disappointing. Will not eat there again.
For a quick early dinner I stopped by Main Street Gyro. At 5pm on a Saturday, it was empty (although pick-up orders streamed in). I ordered a traditional pork gyro ($12.95) and small order of Greek fries ($6.95). Note that the menu lists the price of a full size of fries but you can ask for a half or small portion. I paid at the counter, took a seat, and heard my order called up within 5 minutes. The pork gyro's pita was nice and fluffy (hate it when it's dense), fries had some Cajun-esque seasoning, and the pork was tender and juicy. The Greek fries tasted like fries, with feta cheese and a tangy white sauce. Overall, decent for a casual meal. Not looking for the zenith of gyros here, so it works as a local place.
We used to love this Greek restaurant and had recommended it to friends over the past three years, but our visit yesterday was a huge disappointment. We’re not sure if the staff or management has changed, but the quality has dropped dramatically. The chicken gyro was clearly not fresh—it had a very bad smell and taste, as if it had been sitting for days. The overall experience was awful and completely unexpected from a place we once trusted. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back and can no longer recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Lamb Gyro was over seasoned to hide the smell of the meat, if the lamb isn't selling and the cost is too high they might be reheating leftover lamb, not sure, but the Gyro I got with lamb meat smelled like it was starting to rot! The smell was so bad, not sure why they would sell it! The fries were delicious and the person I spoke to was very nice! My son took it back and they gave him a "chicken Gyro" and it was delicious 😋 the gentlemen he spoke to was very nice!
Great place to eat. I come here often for take out, and it is always consistently delicious. The staff are also very kind. Highly recommend!
