Had the steak sandwich. Bread (roll) was much to bulky, not toasted or warmed sufficiently. Steak was pretty good meat and taste of sandwich was OK but was a bit dry. Fries were hot, but a bit limp and greasy. Staff did as little as possible to get the food out to a "pick up table", then disappeared completely never to be seen again. We were the only people there. They had rap music playing at one end of the facility, and 80s pop radio on the other end. Not the experience expected of such a nice old hotel venue. Seemed more like drive-in fast food service. Food OK but could have been so much better, atmosphere/service lacking.
I WILL MEVER BE BACK! We had 3 burgers and a kids fried chicken basket. For the price of the burgers the patty was very small and definitely over cooked. The fried chicken was terrible, it was like they breaded it in straight flour with no seasoning, very blane. We waited 40 minutes for our food. Not to mention with prices like that you get ZERO service. I think the part that upset me the most was the cheap warm mayonnaise packets to put on your food. I was very disappointed and will never be back.
Really nice staff, however like a lot of places during covid, they are limited in number. The food is not great and it took a while. Ordered 2 burgers md. rare. Burgers were both well done and just not that tasty. Drinks are expensive- 13.00 for a cocktail. We're staying at the hotel so went to the lobby for a bite in the morning and were told that they are not serving complimentary breakfast and that the kitchen opens at 8:30. Beautiful old lodge that just hasn't got their footing yet.
This place is beautiful!!! However the restaurant was a big disappointment. No service really. We were not greeted by anyone, found where we ordered drinks, appetizers, salads, fried chicken etc. You have to pick up your own food which took 40 mins (we were the only people there) The fried chicken was very over cooked (burnt) my cobb salad was delicious but served in a basket on paper so it leaked thru the paper. No one check on us at all. It was so disappointing. I was really looking forward to having this open. Sad!!!
Food was equal to what you would get at a gas station. Service and atmosphere was great though. My friend and I both ordered (and paid for) the beyond burger but we were given tasteless frozen black bean burgers instead.
